G'DAY!

Welcome to Wine Country Lavender - a boutique Hunter Valley lavender farm offering workshops, farm stays, and handcrafted lavender products.

Set on 21 picturesque acres between Branxton and Singleton, NSW, the farm combines education and healthcare, with sustainable lavender farming and agritourism to create products and meaningful experiences that connect people with nature, wellbeing, and the simple pleasures of country life.

The Mediterranean Thread

Wine Country Lavender is built on a simple idea: good things take time. With influences from a childhood in the Mediterranean, where the day naturally pauses, ingredients are understood before they are used, meals are prepared with care, and hospitality is never rushed - the table is set before guests arrive, and quality matters more than convenience.

Those values continue to shape everything done at Wine Country Lavender today - from how lavender is grown, how products are created, to how guests are welcomed to this very special Hunter Valley lavender farm.

This isn't a trend or a marketing philosophy. It's simply how co-founders Karen & Marty believe life should be lived: thoughtfully, purposefully, and with room to slow down... and have a bit of fun!

who we are | what we believe

Wine Country Lavender is the shared vision of Karen and Marty. Karen brings 25 years of experience in education - her passion for teaching extends beyond the classroom and into every workshop, tour, and experience offered on the farm. Whether you're attending a wellness workshop, joining a lavender distillation demonstration, or exploring our gardens, you'll leave with a deeper understanding of the plants, ingredients, and processes behind what is done at Wine Country Lavender. Marty is Dr of Physiotherapy and Chiropractor, has decades of experience supporting health and wellbeing, and his understanding of the body influences every formulation decision, helping ensure their lavender-based products are potent, practical, and purposeful.

Sick of 'smelling like a gym-locker room' Marty needed an effective balm that also smelled good and relaxing - Karen suggested the use of lavender essential oil - and that is were it all started. Together, they combine expertise in healthcare, education, and hands on agriculture work to create potent, effective products, and experiences that are both meaningful and memorable.

"We believe ingredients should earn their place. Every botanical, oil, and ingredient used in our products is chosen for a reason. If it's included, it's because it contributes something valuable - not because it's fashionable or looks good on a label.

We believe that learning should be hands-on. That's why our farm tours, wellness workshops, and lavender experiences are designed to be engaging, practical, and informative.

We believe that rest is essential. Our farm stay accommodation, wellness experiences, and open spaces are intentionally designed to encourage guests to slow down, reconnect with nature, and enjoy the quieter rhythm of country life.

Most of all, we believe people should leave with something more than they arrived with - a new skill, a deeper understanding of natural ingredients, a greater appreciation for lavender, or simply the feeling that comes from taking time to properly unwind. At Wine Country Lavender in the Hunter Valley, that's what we're here to share."

our mission

While lavender is at the heart of everything we do, Wine Country Lavender was never intended to be a traditional lavender farm. Our vision is to bring lavender into the modern world through thoughtfully crafted products, hands-on experiences, sustainable farming, and a healthy dose of personality, embracing an approach that reflects who we are. You'll find that spirit woven throughout our product range, from playful names and purposeful formulations, to experiences designed to be educational, practical, and enjoyable. Behind the humour, however, is a serious commitment to quality.

Every lavender plant is grown with a strong focus on sustainability, regenerative agriculture, and ethical farming practices. We continually seek ways to improve soil health, encourage biodiversity, reduce environmental impact, and share what we learn with our wider community.

Our goal is simple: to grow exceptional lavender and produce high-quality essential oils, hydrosols, dried botanicals, and lavender-based products that reflect both the integrity of the plant and the place in which it is grown. At the same time, we believe a farm should be shared.

Agritourism plays an important role in our mission, creating opportunities for visitors to experience firsthand how lavender is grown, harvested, distilled, and transformed. Through guided farm tours, wellness workshops, seasonal events, and country accommodation, guests can engage with the landscape in a meaningful way while gaining a deeper understanding of sustainable farming and natural ingredients.

Maintaining the beauty, character, and sense of calm that exists across our 21-acre Hunter Valley property is just as important to us as growing lavender. Whether someone visits for a workshop, stays in our accommodation, or simply spends time exploring the farm, we want them to feel connected to the land and welcomed into the rhythm of life here.

Above all, Wine Country Lavender exists to create something of lasting value - a place where farming, education, wellbeing, and hospitality come together with authenticity, curiosity, and care.
